- The Air Training Corps

- The Royal Air Force

- Inirital Expedition Training

- Map Reading

- History of Flight

- Airmanship I

- Basic Radio Communications

 

 

AVIATION SUBJECTS

Three subjects:

- Basic Navigation

- PRinciples of Flight

- Airmanship II

Note: Additionally, ACP 35 Vol.2 (Communications Manual) may be studied whilst preparing for Ldg Cdt. It is not part of the Ldg Cdt exam.

AVIATION SUBJECTS*

Two subjects chosen from:

- Air Navigation

- Propulsion

- Aircraft Handling

- Advanced Radio and Radar

Note: The choice must include Air Navigation or Aircraft Handling, Either or both may be chosen.

AVIATION SUBJECTS*

Two subjects chosen from:

- Pilot Navigation

- Airframes

- Operational Flying

- Satellite Communications

 

* The subjects are able to be taken either for Senior Cadet or Staff Cadet
OTHER TRAINING - First Aid, Rifle Shooting
RANGE COURSES - Initial course followed by annual continuation courses throughout all stages in accordance with ACTI no 31

CITIZENSHIP TRAINING - Training at and away from the Squadron Headquarters throughout all cadet service. Examples:

- Talks, Public Speaking, Debating, Visits to, Talks by, Demonstrations by Local Bodies eg Councils, Airport Authorities, Police, Fire and Ambulance Services, Coastguards, Organized Assistance to Local Establishments eg Hospitals, Children's Homes, Old People's Homes

DRILL - Progressive training throughout alkl stages in accordance with the drill instruction detailed in AP 1919

EXTRA-MURAL ACTIVITIES - Training away from the Squadron Headquarters throughout all cadet service. Examples:

- Air Experience Flying, Glider Pilot Training, Familiarization Gliding, Annual Camps, Opportunity Flights, Overseas Flights, IACE Visits Abroad, Leadership Courses, Visits to Affiliated Stations, Visits to the Aircraft Industry, Adventure Training, Sports
